Dear families,
Project Pencils is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing school supplies for Wright County
students in need. Through the generosity of donors and volunteers who purchase supplies for
individual needs, we help hundreds of students each year. We helped 669 students in 2023 and
expect to help more in 2024.
Families that have financial difficulty purchasing school supplies for their K-12 students can complete
the form on our website at http://www.ProjectPencils.com/request.html (open from June 1-July 31
each year) and we will post a request in our closed Facebook group for volunteers to "adopt" the
student. We provide the specific supplies needed for each student based on their school and grade.
The only information that is shared with our volunteers to help them purchase the correct supplies
and a backpack for each student is: the student's school, grade, sex, and favorite colors (optional).
There are two pickup dates for the school supplies to pick up at Hollee Saville's home in St. Michael
(the address will be sent to those who register via email:
Saturday, August 17 from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Tuesday, August 20 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
If you would like to help in any way, please visit our website at www.ProjectPencils.com for more
information. We are always in need of people to “adopt” students, donate supplies or funds, or to help
at the distribution event.
Please visit our website at www.ProjectPencils.com for more information and let us know if you have
any questions.
Have a wonderful summer!
Very truly yours,
Brandy Vollbrecht
