To All Members of the KCS Family:

Greetings to all our families!  I hope you have had a wonderful summer break!

As we near the start of the 2026-27 school year, I want to thank everyone for their dedication and support of KCS!  It is so great to see the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming school year.  Thank you to everyone who made the 2025-26 school year a successful one.  To the families, staff, and school board members, I want you to know that I am extremely proud to lead KCS.

In 2025-26, the school board continued to invest in KCS by making sound financial and policy decisions, which included investing in the school facility, equipment, programming, staffing, and students. They also continued to do the work that enforces and solidifies the mission of our school.  A new strategic plan was created through the help of staff, parents, students, and school board members.  We are excited about the plan that helps guide our work to honor the past, provide for the present, and adapt and change for the future at KCS!  KCS in Motion - - 2026-2030 Strategic Plan

We look forward to welcoming all the staff, students, and families back to school on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 (remember school starts before Labor Day this year).   Prior to the first day of school, two other important events are our Family Picnic on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. AND Open House on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  We are creating and offering a variety of opportunities for students and parents to get involved and become part of our school family.  Building strong relationships is integral to creating a strong school system.  Let’s all have a great school year, and let’s all be a part of making Kaleidoscope Charter School great!

Included with this letter is the Annual Notification of Rights.  It can be found on our website under the Families section.

If you ever have a question or concern about anything, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher, principal, or the main office.  We are here to serve and help you any way we can.

Please check your email inbox in the coming weeks for information from our K-12 Director, Mr. Nordmann and our Director of Business Operations, Ms. Foss, about classroom teacher assignments, schedules, transportation, etc., as well as a back-to-school newsletter with important information.

Let’s all have a great 2026-27 school year!

Sincerely,

Brad Sellner
